Job summary

Penn National Insurance is seeking a Senior Loss Control Consultant to conduct on-site loss control surveys and virtual meetings for commercial lines accounts, within a designated territory. The role will focus on understanding operations and hazards to support underwriting decisions.

Based in the United States, the candidate should reside within the territory ( Alabama predominance) and possess ≥4 years in property/casualty loss control, with strong safety program knowledge and

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in safety, science or engineering preferred.
• Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CIH or OHST preferred.
• 4+ years in property/casualty loss control with larger/complex accounts.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, DOT, ANSI and local codes.
• Excellent communication, presentation and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle large and/or complex accounts and complete all required reports for underwriting.
• Visit facilities to assess operations, hazards, and safety programs.
• Evaluate compliance against OSHA, NFPA, DOT, ANSI and local codes.
• Promote loss control services to clients and provide recommendations.
• Perform basic Industrial Hygiene surveys and ergonomics assessments.
• Collaborate with underwriting and loss control teams in meetings and reviews.
