Job summary

WestRock Company in Hicksville, NY is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead warehouse operations, shipping, receiving and inventory control. You will plan and direct departmental objectives to move materials and finished goods efficiently while meeting service, quality and cost targets.

The role requires strong leadership, problem solving and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics or related field preferred.
• Minimum five years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing or related field.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and shipping/pick-and-pack processes.
• Strong freight knowledge and negotiation skills.
• Experience leading shipping, inventory and receiving operations in fast-paced environments.
• Understanding of MRP and forecasting related to inventory replenishment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and off-site storage facilities.
• Plan, direct and execute departmental objectives to meet customer service, quality and cost goals.
• Manage and develop staff, driving continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
• Develop capacity plans based on demand and ensure adequate resources.
• Conduct timely, specific performance evaluations and corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure safety, GMP compliance and environmental requirements are followed.
