Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Production Supervisor in Hicksville, NY. You will oversee daily production, assign workloads, and manage a team to ensure on-time delivery of quality products while enforcing safety and GMP standards.

You will monitor metrics, drive improvements, and coordinate with other departments to resolve issues. A strong technical background and leadership ability are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience; printing experience preferred if external candidate.
• Must demonstrate strong technical knowledge and ability to lead and motivate others.
• Ability to pass a mechanical test or show mechanical aptitude through prior work.
• Numerical skills to track, analyze, and report operating metrics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely production of quality products meeting customer expectations.
• Plan daily workloads, assign tasks, and manage direct reports.
• Monitor production metrics: downtime, run speed, waste, and cost impact.
• Train staff on safety, GMPs, and QA procedures; ensure SOPs are followed.
• Produce daily production reports and maintain accurate records.
