U.S. Xpress, Inc. is seeking an experienced operations professional to oversee driver performance, load planning, and customer service excellence in a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will work to maximize profitability, ensure safety compliance, and maintain strong cross-functional communication with drivers and support teams. This role requires proactive problem solving and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Adept at assessing organizational dynamics and managing change.

Responsibilities

• Proactively promote safety metrics and key performance indicators around service pickup %, deadhead %, assignments per week, and other essential metrics.
• Supervises driver performance to balance business and driver needs.
• Utilize High Performance Coaching to coach drivers on performance or behavior expectations.
• Ensure the highest level of service for customers by managing expectations through strong relationships and proactive communication.
• Maximize profitability through effective equipment utilization.
• Coordinate with drivers on physicals, random drug screens, and CDL renewal deadlines.
• Utilize systems such as AS400 and XPM for various tasks to maximize productivity.
