U.S. Xpress, Inc. is seeking a Driver Leader to execute initiatives daily with a focus on driver satisfaction and customer service. The role is anchored in flexibility to adapt to changing industry needs and daily challenges.

You will supervise 30–50 drivers, promoting safety, ensuring on-time service, and addressing performance actions. Collaboration with Customer Service and cross-functional teams is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience required.
• Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.

Responsabilités

• Supervise driver performance according to company policies, DOT regulations, and all other rules.
• Directly supervise multiple drivers at any given time (new hires, drivers off truck, drivers needing training).
• Responsible for the satisfaction of a driver while they are over the road.
• Make recommendations for performance documentation including promotions or terminations.
• Address issues and disputes for drivers.
• Promote safe operations.
• Manage driver and capacity by maintaining seated truck count and PTA’s.
• Ensure drivers and equipment are performing to provide on-time service.
• Manage company performance objectives with drivers and monitor KPI’s (P&L, Safety, Fuel).
• Ensure on-time service is met and coordinate with Customer Service as needed.
• Communicate service deviations to Customer Service promptly.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive culture and values.
• Attend in-person meetings and trainings; participate with input and guidance.
• Engage with customers and prospects to build rapport and set expectations.
