Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in San Antonio, TX is seeking an operations leader to guide hourly staff in driving on-time driver deliveries, loading/unloading trailers, cross docking, and exceptional customer service while aligning with company cost objectives.

You will supervise processes, participate in hiring decisions, review workloads and performance, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across the site. Flexibility for peak seasons and travel as needed is required.

Qualifications

• 2 - 4 years of related functional experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication; advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and enforce performance standards; interview hourly associates and make recommendations for hire; monitor attendance and productivity; provide counseling or recognition as needed.
• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading/unloading, dispatch and documentation control; evaluate and improve methods to boost productivity; assist in training and provide coverage as needed.
• Manage labor hours to control overtime; ensure compliance with financial policies and improve profitability.
• Ensure day-to-day safety and regulatory compliance; provide training and direction to associates; align activities with location safety strategy.
• Understand customer goals and identify Continuous Improvement opportunities to enhance service and efficiency.
