Job summary

Penske Logistics in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Operations Leader to guide hourly associates in daily tasks such as driver deliveries, loading/unloading trailers, cross docking and customer service, ensuring alignment with service quality and cost targets.

The role focuses on supervising processes, scheduling, and corrective actions, with involvement in hiring and customer meetings as needed to optimize fleet and warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years related functional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills are required.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure execution of daily tasks.
• Supervise processes including workforce and equipment scheduling.
• Make corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to written warnings.
• Review truck runs and daily orders for private fleet opportunities based on accounts and costs.
