Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Supervisor to lead hourly associates and manage driver deliveries, loading/unloading, cross-docking and customer service. You will oversee daily tasks, scheduling, performance, and adherence to cost objectives at the Birmingham site.

The role requires a transportation management background, strong communication, and leadership. Expect a Sunday start with evening shifts; bonus eligibility based on performance and location.

Qualifications

• Requires 2–4 years of related functional experience.
• Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills are required.
• Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are required.
• Willingness to travel and comply with background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to hourly workforce and supervise scheduling and task execution.
• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading/unloading, dispatch and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, productivity targets and overtime control.
• Maintain site safety program alignment and continuous improvement initiatives.
