Ryder in Lafayette, IN seeks a Senior Logistics Manager - Dedicated Transportation to lead the Distribution Center and a team of supervisors providing turnkey warehousing and transportation solutions. You will maintain direct customer interface and drive operational excellence.

Successful candidates will have dedicated logistics experience, driver management, and a track record of coaching and developing employees. This salaried role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation support.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred.
• Five (5) years or more experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• Five (5) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports.
• Three (3) years or more Profit & Loss responsibility preferred.
• One (1) year or more customer interaction preferred.

Responsabilités

• Interface directly with the customer to ensure issues are resolved and satisfaction remains high.
• Strategic operational planning and execution for the operation.
• Identify and solve operational issues with LEAN initiatives to strengthen the team.
• Hire, supervise, develop and manage performance for employees.
• Maintain open communications within the work groups and across the organization.
• May manage Profit & Loss statements depending on scope.
• Lead a proactive safety program aligned with company policy.
