Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager Logistics to lead distribution center operations and supervise the warehousing and transportation solutions for key accounts.

The role requires active customer engagement and strategic planning to deliver turn-key logistics services. The ideal candidate has extensive leadership experience in supply chain, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to manage teams and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic, fast-paced

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
• Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred.
• Five (5) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
• Five (5) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports required.
• Three (3) years or more Profit & Loss responsibility preferred.
• One (1) year or more customer interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with the customer to ensure issues are resolved promptly and satisfaction remains high.
• Strategic operational planning and execution for the operation.
• Address issues with LEAN initiatives to improve productivity and results.
• Hire, supervise, develop and manage performance of employees.
• Maintain open communications within work groups and with other teams.
• Review data and take action to improve outcomes.
• May manage P&L depending on organization scope.
• Lead safety programs and ensure safe work environment.
