Job summary

CJ Logistics America is seeking a Senior Manager to lead NA Freight Forwarding project cargo initiatives. You will drive operations, pricing strategies, and business development while coordinating with overseas partners and local management to meet growth targets.

The role focuses on strategic pricing, carrier negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-impact, customer-centric solutions. Hybrid work with occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field.
• 12+ years in a client-facing or account management role.
• Experience generating leads and advancing them through the pipeline.
• Excellent communication skills across vertical/horizontal teams and clients.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage complex assignments.
• Proven problem-solving with enterprise-wide implications.
• Flexibility to work across diverse environments and audiences.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles with prior P&L ownership.
• Ability to travel as needed (up to 20%).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with overseas agents to support Project Cargo shipments.
• Oversee daily project cargo operations and pricing initiatives.
• Provide input as the company resource on project cargo questions.
• Develop processes and workflows for higher quality shipping experience.
• Provide pricing or quotes to support business development.
• Develop solutions for prospect RFP and RFQ needs.
• Negotiate contracts with carriers and service providers.
• Select carriers, routings, and schedules to meet customer needs.
• Establish and maintain customer relationships.
• Organize sales cycle events to showcase CJ Logistics America culture and leadership.
• Understand customer supply chains to tailor CJL proposals.
• Develop customized value propositions highlighting CJL benefits.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
