Job summary

Performance Team in Edison, NJ is seeking a Senior Customer Service Representative to be the primary contact for customers, coordinating shipment activities and communicating with carriers, terminals, and internal teams. The role requires 3+ years in customer service within transportation/logistics, strong problem-solving and organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office and TMS.

Schedule Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm; pay range $25.00-$28.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service experience in transportation, logistics, or distribution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to resolve issues.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and familiar with customer service and TMS systems.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary escalation point for customer inquiries and service concerns.
• Monitor delivery and return orders, ensuring timely resolution and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with warehousing, transportation, and operations teams to support daily work.
• Mentor and support team members to resolve complex customer issues.
• Track shipment discrepancies and manage documentation in company systems.
• Communicate updates and solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
• Assist management with daily planning, reporting, and performance metrics.
• Support cross-functional projects as needed.
