Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Edison, NJ, to be the main contact for customers and to manage inquiries, coordinate shipments, and resolve service issues throughout the logistics process.

You will work with carriers, terminals, and internal teams to ensure accurate communication and timely updates while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of customer service experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operation.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
• Experience working with transportation, customer service, or operational systems preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding shipments, deliveries, and transportation services
• Respond to customer requests via phone, email, and internal communication platforms in a professional and timely manner
• Provide shipment status updates and assist customers with tracking freight and delivery schedules
• Support the processing of customer orders, service requests, and transportation documentation
• Coordinate with operations, dispatch, warehouse, and transportation teams to ensure customer needs are met
• Escalate service issues and exceptions to appropriate teams while maintaining clear communication with customers
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, shipment information, and service activities
• Assist with resolving delivery issues, appointment scheduling, and customer concerns
• Support daily administrative tasks and data entry within company systems
• Contribute to a positive customer experience by building strong relationships through effective communication and problem-solving
