Job summary

Classic Bank N A in Bastrop, TX seeks a motivated Relationship Manager to join our community lending team. You will evaluate, authorize, and secure personal, commercial, and mortgage loans while building durable client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of banking experience, strong credit fundamentals, and excels at cross-selling banking products. Proficiency with MS Office and NMLS registration are a plus; occasional branch coordination may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in commercial, retail, and mortgage lending, banking, and financial analysis.
• Good understanding of financial statements and credit fundamentals.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with banking systems is a plus.
• Must maintain registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent service to current and prospective loan customers.
• Gives financial advice and counsel to customers.
• Builds and manages new and expanded client relationships to grow profitability.
• Cross-sells banking products and refers clients to other areas.
• Analyzes loans and terms within lending limits or recommends to loan committee.
• Manages a portfolio of loans ensuring compliance with terms.
• Coordinates lending activities with other branches.
• Serves as main loan contact in assigned branches and backs up other branches.
• Other duties as assigned.
