Job summary

Park Community Credit Union is seeking a Senior Loan Document Specialist to lead the Loan Documentation team in Louisville. The role manages complex and escalated loan closings for consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will coach and mentor staff, collaborate with originators, funders, and underwriters, and stay current with lending policies and procedures. This position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of similar or related experience.
• Two-year college degree or equivalent certification, or vendor training.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Close approved loan applications across consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending by reviewing documentation for accuracy and coordinating with third parties.
• Serve as SME for the Loan Documentation team; provide guidance and troubleshoot issues to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Assist with coaching, mentoring, and training loan document staff and onboarding new team members.
• Build and maintain relationships with originators, funders, underwriters, branch staff, and external vendors for smooth closings.
• Stay current with lending regulations and compliance requirements; advise management on changes and improvements.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
