Park Community Credit Union is seeking a Senior Loan Document Specialist to lead the Loan Documentation team in Louisville. The role manages complex and escalated loan closings for consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
You will coach and mentor staff, collaborate with originators, funders, and underwriters, and stay current with lending policies and procedures. This position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and service excellence.
By emphasizing ONE Park, ONE Mission, ONE Team, the Senior Loan Document Specialist serves as a subject matter expert and lead resource within the Loan Documentation team. This role is responsible for managing complex or escalated loan closings, ensuring accuracy and compliance in documentation, and supporting the seamless closing of consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans. The Senior Loan Document Specialist also assists the manager with coaching, mentoring, and developing other Loan Document Specialists, fostering a culture of teamwork, accuracy, and service excellence.
Experience Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job‑specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills In-depth knowledge of consumer, mortgage, and commercial loan documentation.
Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities.
Ability to coach, mentor, and support staff development.
Proficiency with lending systems, PCs, and general office equipment.
