Job summary

Mirai Bio, Inc. in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Research Associate II or Senior Research Associate, LNP Production to support the development and advancement of lipid nanoparticle formulations for delivery of nucleic acid therapeutics.

You will design, produce, characterize, and optimize LNP formulations for preclinical research. This hands-on role requires strong technical expertise in LNP formulation, attention to detail, and the ability to work across programs with scientists and partners.

Qualifications

• Experience with lipid nanoparticle formulation and production for nucleic acid cargos.
• Experience with LNP processing techniques across scales (small to large).
• Familiarity with analytical techniques for LNP characterization (size, PDI, encapsulation).
• Proven ability to independently execute experiments and troubleshoot.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, formulate, produce, and characterize LNPs for preclinical research.
• Scale LNP production across small to larger formats.
• Operate and develop LNP processes using mixers, pumping systems, and TFF.
• Troubleshoot formulation and process challenges and optimize production.
• Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams to design experiments.
