Job summary

Sail Biomedicines, based in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Scientist to advance our lipid nanoparticle (LNP) manufacturing platform for nucleic acid therapeutics. You will develop and operationalize LNP formulations at pre-clinical and pilot lab scales, contributing to preclinical pipeline at the interface of manufacturing, formulation science, and analytics.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years (M.Sc.) or 6+ years (B.Sc.) in LNP formulation and drug delivery, with hands-on nanoparticle

Qualifications

• 4+ years (M.Sc.) or 6+ years (B.Sc.) of industry experience in LNP formulation optimization and drug delivery.
• Strong background in nucleic acid therapeutics and related education.
• Hands-on experience with nanoparticle formulation and characterization techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, formulate, and characterize LNP systems for nucleic acid delivery across preclinical stages.
• Develop, optimize and scale-up formulation processes and methods (e.g., TFF, ultrafiltration).
• Troubleshoot formulation and process challenges to improve robustness and reproducibility.
• Generate high-quality data and document thoroughly in ELNs.
• Prepare LNP formulations to support internal research and partner programs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with analytical, translational and platform teams.
• Present data clearly to internal teams and contribute to decisions.
