Job summary

Mirai Bio is seeking a Research Associate II/Senior Research Associate, LNP Production, to advance lipid nanoparticle formulations for nucleic acid therapeutics. You will design, produce, and characterize LNPs for preclinical programs in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

The role requires hands-on LNP formulation expertise, scale-up experience, and strong experimental documentation. Work spans multiple programs with cross-functional teams to accelerate delivery technology.

Qualifications

• Experience with lipid nanoparticle formulation and production for nucleic acid cargos.
• Ability to design, produce, and characterize LNP formulations for preclinical research.
• Experience with multiple scales from lab to pilot production.
• Strong documentation and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize production processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, formulate, produce, and characterize LNPs to support preclinical research.
• Execute LNP production across scales from small to larger production.
• Operate and develop processes using LNP manufacturing equipment (mixer, pumps, TFF).
• Troubleshoot formulation and process challenges and optimize production workflows.
• Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams to design experiments and interpret results.
• Maintain accurate electronic lab notebook documentation and communicate findings.
