Job summary

The Summit of Edgewood is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Coordinator to ensure adequate staffing in line with regulations and budgetary goals. You will support the nursing department by creating and adjusting schedules, while collaborating with the Executive Director and DON to address staffing needs.

The role requires strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills, plus a commitment to confidentiality and resident care excellence in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years healthcare or office experience; long-term care preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and car insurance; regular driving required.
• Strong organizational, time-management and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Create staffing schedules for the Nursing Department to ensure adequate coverage.
• Adjust schedules as needed for call-ins or unforeseen circumstances.
• Recommend scheduling improvements to increase efficiency.
• Advise and communicate staffing needs to the Executive Director and DON.
• Handle inquiries regarding scheduling to ensure timely, equitable resolutions.
• Assist DON with attendance tracking and communications within nursing.
• Demonstrate teamwork and reliable attendance to ensure quality care.
