Job summary

Intersect Healthcare of Belding is seeking a Recreation Aide to support residents through engaging activities and daily living tasks. The role operates under the Recreation Director, with full-time hours and alternating weekends, and involves leading group programs and one-on-one visits to enhance residents’ quality of life.

Responsibilities include implementing programs per the calendar, coordinating with nursing staff, maintaining participation records, and supporting volunteer initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Experience working with senior groups or in leading and assisting with group activities is preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with arts and crafts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements Recreation Programs as per the Monthly Calendar and RD guidance.
• Maintains electronic charts of resident participation in programs.
• Assists in completing the Recreation Calendar and Facility newsletter as assigned.
• Transports residents to program locations and community trips as scheduled.
• Promotes volunteer programs and assists in volunteer orientation and training.
• Attends department meetings and assists with paperwork and reports.
