Job summary

CIEL Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to provide medication assistance and personal care to residents under the direction of the Health and Wellness Director. The role requires adherence to medication administration protocols, documentation in the EHR, and coordination with the pharmacy for timely orders.

The position requires 1–2 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, CPR and CNA certifications, and strong communication in English to ensure resident safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Medication Administration training/certification per state requirements.
• CPR certification.
• Must meet health requirements.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification per state requirements.
• Strong English reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication assistance and personal care to residents.
• Document care services per CIEL standards.
• Participate in narcotic counts at shift change with accurate documentation.
• Administer medications per Rights of Medication Administration.
• Maintain cleanliness of medication room and cart.
• Ensure new medication orders are faxed to the pharmacy promptly.
• Record vital signs and monitor resident responses to medications.
• Assist in maintaining resident charts in the EHR.
