Job summary

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and state-approved medication administration training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of relevant caregiving experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• State-required Medication Administration training/certification.
• Must meet all health requirements.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification per state requirements.
• CPR certification.
• Strong English reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication administration and personal care per guidelines.
• Complete documentation to ensure resident needs are met.
• Participate in narcotic counts and document inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness of medication room and cart.
• Notify pharmacy and fax new orders as needed.
• Record vital signs and monitor resident condition.
• Document changes and maintain resident charts in EHR.
• Attend staff meetings and complete required training.
