Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Farnham, VA is seeking a Registered Medication Associate (RMA) to provide high-quality, compassionate care and assist with medication administration. Open Interviews are held every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 511 Cedar Grove Road, Farnham, VA 22460.

Salary is $19–$22 per hour with a $500 sign-on bonus. Full-time associates receive a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, disability, 401(k), PTO, EAP, and more.

Qualifications

• This role requires certification as a Resident Care Associate.
• Continuing education credits must be maintained and evidenced timely.
• Knowledge of safe medication administration with a competency evaluation.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain per policy.
• Must maintain resident confidentiality.
• Ability to work weekends and flexible hours.
• Demonstrate genuine compassion for seniors and families.
• Proficient with standard office equipment and a computer.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring and safe delivery of the Medication Management Program.
• Administers and records medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Observes ingestion or completion of medication administration.
• Observes and reports adverse reactions; coordinates with the Resident Care Director.
• Determines and records effectiveness of medications timely.
• Documents refusals and reasons for non-administration.
• Stores medications safely and maintains inventory.
• Maintains daily shift communication logs with updates.
• Demonstrates proper infection control practices per OSHA standards.
• Communicates with residents and staff to ensure quality care.
