Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our California communities. The role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and routine repairs, with a focus on prompt, compliant service and resident satisfaction.

You will work independently, manage multiple tasks, document work, and coordinate with city inspectors as needed. A high school diploma and 2+ years of maintenance experience in senior living or hospitality are preferred; certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of maintenance or handyman experience in senior living, multi-apartment, or hotel settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, floor care, basic repairs).
• Complete repairs promptly and safely according to standards.
• Maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment.
• Repair vacated rooms and prep for new residents.
• Keep common areas well maintained (walls, floors, doors, woodwork).
• Manage maintenance supplies and inventory; record work logs.
• Coordinate with fire marshal or inspectors and ensure code compliance.
