Job summary

HarborChase of Plano is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to follow the daily schedule set by the Director of Maintenance. The role focuses on keeping residents, associates, and visitors safe by handling routine grounds and building upkeep, cleaning, and basic repairs as directed.

You will perform carpet cleaning, floor care, fixtures, plumbing and electrical tasks, report equipment malfunctions promptly, and stay on call for emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One-year experience in a related field.
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, residents, and external contacts.
• Familiar with maintenance tools and safety procedures.
• Willing to work beyond normal hours to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Performs upkeep of floors including carpet cleaning, deodorizing and sanitizing.
• Strips, seals and waxes tile floors as necessary.
• Inspects hallways daily for needed carpet cleaning.
• Performs community trash removal at start of each work day.
• Performs routine maintenance and repair throughout the community as directed (plumbing, bulbs, A/C filters, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc.).
• Reports equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to supervisor and safety hazards to appropriate manager.
