Job summary

Ovation Heartwood Preserve in Omaha, NE is seeking a dedicated Building Maintenance Assistant for a full-time role. You will maintain the physical plant, perform routine maintenance, and ensure a safe, clean environment for residents across living options, under supervision of the Building Maintenance Director.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, safety checks, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with OSHA/EPA/fire codes.

Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance tasks in long-term care, apartment complex, or commercial facilities.
• Understanding of building codes and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, fire codes).
• Ability to perform routine maintenance, safety checks, and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, minor repairs, and ensuring good working order.
• Conduct safety checks and report hazards; assist with snow/ice removal.
• Assist with cleaning, sanitation, waste removal, floor care, and supplies inventory.
