Job summary

Presbyterian Homes & Services in Apple Valley, MN, is seeking an Engineer / Maintenance Technician for Orchard Path. The role works Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, reporting to the Environmental Services Director, with a $3,000 hiring bonus available upon eligibility.

The engineer will repair buildings and equipment, perform preventive maintenance, manage life safety systems, work with contractors, handle daily work orders, and support snow removal, pool care, and apartment turns as

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in commercial or residential building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, follow directions and work under supervision.
• Relate well and provide a professional image and services to all customers.
• Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
• Read, write, speak and understand English to communicate with customers.
• Participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings, grounds and equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Complete daily work orders and preventive maintenance routines.
• Perform building and equipment repairs and troubleshoot complex problems.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors; maintain life safety systems.
• Snow removal, pool care, apartment turns and other projects as assigned.
