Job summary

Cogir Senior Living, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, oversees a network of senior living communities nationwide. The Maintenance Director leads daily plant operations, ensuring safety, and maintains HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliances.

This role manages preventative maintenance and supervises the maintenance team and housekeeping staff. The position requires a high school diploma and 3+ years in maintenance leadership, with HVAC, electrical, and general trades

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years managing apartments, senior living communities, hotels, or large maintenance teams required.
• 1–2 years supervisory/management experience preferred (hiring, budgeting, scheduling, vendor mgmt).
• HVAC, electrical, drywall repair, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day physical plant operations and safety compliance.
• Maintain building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and major appliances.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs and supervise maintenance staff.
• Coordinate with leadership on budgets, bids, and vendor services.
• Ensure timely completion of service requests and strict adherence to codes and safety standards.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain strong resident relations.
