Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Cook to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents, families, and guests. You will work with the culinary director to create menus from traditional comfort foods to globally-inspired options, using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year kitchen experience, is comfortable following recipes, and can work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays. Benefits include competitive wages and health insurance.

Qualifications

• Former long-term kitchen experience in full-service environments.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and prepare meals from scratch.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food codes.
• Experience handling dietary restrictions for seniors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals per menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas; keep stations clean and sanitized.
• Collaborate with dining services for timely meal service.
• Check and restock foods for proper service.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and trainings.
• Handle and store cleaning supplies safely; support kitchen operations.
