Cogir Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our community restaurant team. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents, families, and guests, collaborating with the culinary director to craft comforting dishes and seasonal options from scratch.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in a full-service kitchen, knowledge of kitchen equipment, and a passion for serving seniors with safe, high-quality meals while following health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary School is a plus, or the equivalent of education and experience.
• Food Handler Card with an understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a compassionate, high-performing team delivering top-level results.
• Prepare and cook meals following established menus, recipes, dietary, and sanitary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas in a timely fashion.
• Keep stations clean and sanitized.
• Collaborate with the dining services team to ensure timely meal service.
• Check and restock foods for proper service.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
