Job summary

Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community in Escondido, CA is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to oversee food service operations for our memory care and skilled nursing residents. In a small facility with 41 max occupancy, you will plan menus, supervise dietary staff, and coordinate with the kitchen team to deliver nutritious meals.

Qualifications

• CDM certification required or willing to obtain certification.
• Professional cooking experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Available to work holidays as needed.
• Positive attitude and service-minded approach.
• Able to pass Livescan background check.
• Able to pass health screening, TB test, and drug test.
• Able to lift at least 40 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Able to lead staff in professionalism and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise dietary staff to prepare nutritious and appetizing meals while following regulations.
• Confer with dietitian and nursing staff to meet residents' individual needs and preferences.
• Coordinate with Main Kitchen chef for scheduling shared employees and events.
• Plan menus, place vendor orders, track inventory, and maintain emergency supplies.
• Participate in staff meetings as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, OSHA working conditions, and residents' rights.
