Job summary

The Glenview at Pelican Bay is recruiting for a hospitality focused Director of Food & Beverage to join our team. This role provides full-scope, hands-on management of the Community’s F&B Department, upholding policies and the community’s mission and values.

We seek an individual with strong leadership, culinary expertise, and a commitment to quality service for a senior living setting. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts (preferred).
• Successful completion of a recognized food safety course.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as executive chef, chef in a hotel, restaurant, club, or other similar employment.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in administration and management of food service systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive, professional, and upscale culinary services program to create a positive experience for all customers.
• Supervise the Food & Beverage Department, including interviewing, hiring, planning, directing, and evaluating staff.
• Plan and execute menu cycle programs compliant with nutrition/dietary criteria and local regulations.
• Meet or exceed established budgetary and financial guidelines.
• Hands-on cooking, serving, and dishwashing as necessary.
• Ensure staff are professional, trained, uniformed, and capable.
• Visit residents to evaluate food service quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance; adjust operations as needed.
• Support creating a culture where decisions drive top-line revenue and occupancy.

Education
