Job summary

The Glenview at Pelican Bay in Naples, FL is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor with a hospitality focus. This full-time role oversees food and beverage service, coordinates seating, and acts as the primary F&B contact until management arrives.

You will lead pre-shift lineups, schedule servers, record meal counts and reservations, and ensure POS accuracy. Ideal candidates bring prior host/lead server experience in fine dining and strong communication with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of Host/Hostess or Lead Server experience in fine dining.
• Ability to interpret and explain menu and answer questions.
• Strong communication and empathy with residents, families, visitors, staff.
• Health and/or alcohol service compliance card required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate seating of residents and guests efficiently.

The Glenview at Pelican Bay is a premier continuing care retirement community located in beautiful, sunny Naples, Florida.

We are currently considering candidates for a hospitality focused Dining Room Supervisor. Candidates must have a desire to join a great team dedicated to providing outstanding and superior hospitality.

We currently have the following shifts available: full time

The Dining Room Supervisor at The Glenview at Pelican Bay is responsible for being the primary Food & Beverage contact until management arrives. Verifies schedules, checks deliveries and carries Food & Beverage cell phone. Provides coverage for any area/server station in the absence of scheduled dining room staff.

The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for the following services including but not limited to:

• Coordinates the seating of the residents and guests in an efficient, courteous manner
• Lead the daily pre-shift lineup for dinner service, ensuring all dining room servers are prepared for service.
• Schedules stations and work assignments for the wait staff and check out servers to make sure standards are met.
• Records meal counts, reservations and additional charges. Complete knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Confers with Director of Food & Beverage regarding dining room status.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• A minimum of on years Host/Hostess or Lead Server experience within fine restaurant, club, hotel or similar institution.
• Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.
• Ability to communicate with, understand, empathize with, work with, and be tolerant of residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors and subordinates.
• State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card required.
