Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our senior residents. You will provide friendly, professional service during meals and special events, and you may be cross-trained as a dishwasher and be on call when needed.

You will ensure dietary needs are met and maintain a welcoming dining environment, with a focus on accuracy, cleanliness, and resident satisfaction. This role offers flexible schedules in a supportive, growth-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Food Handler Card is a plus.
• 6–12 months in serving, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests warmly, creating a positive dining atmosphere.
• Take meal orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly.
• Ensure meals are served according to residents’ dietary requirements and preferences.
• Ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all residents, serving food and beverages with a smile.
• Prepare the dining room before each meal by setting tables with linens, utensils, and glassware.
• Clear tables promptly after meals, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Reset tables for the next meal service.
• Communicate resident feedback and requests to the Culinary Director or kitchen staff.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food and beverages.
• Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and Cogir senior living standards.
• Ensure the dish pit is clear and clean of debris.
• Ensure all dishes are clean before returning them to the storage area.
• Setting the dining room in a professional setting.
• Making sure all utensils, dishes, and tools are properly cleaned according to the health code of Nevada standards.
• Taking out kitchen trash and boxes from inventory.
