Job summary

Savant Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to oversee daily dining operations for residents of our assisted living facility. This role reports to the Culinary Director and focuses on service quality, resident satisfaction, and a welcoming dining atmosphere.

Responsibilities include staff scheduling, pre-shift briefings, menu coordination, dietary accommodations, and maintaining health and safety standards throughout the dining area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or hospitality education is a plus.
• Experience supervising staff in food service, preferably in assisted living or healthcare.
• Proficiency with scheduling software and basic record keeping.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and allergen awareness.
• Live-Scan, TB test, physical exam and CPR/AED certification required upon offer.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff schedules, assignments, and breaks for mealtimes.
• Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate specials and service expectations.
• Ensure dietary preferences, restrictions, and allergies are respected.
• Maintain a clean, safe, inviting dining environment compliant with regulations.
• Oversee table settings and dining room presentation for residents.
• Assist menu planning and propose changes based on resident feedback.
• Monitor food presentation, portions, and temperature for quality.
• Address issues promptly to enhance resident satisfaction.
• Interact with residents during meals to build relationships.
• Supervise dining room staff and train on etiquette and service.
