Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Dining Services Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of all dining activities in the community. The role emphasizes policy adherence, budget management, and compliance with health standards.

You will lead staff, ensure safe food handling, and maintain high resident satisfaction through hospitality and quality presentations. Strong communication and multitasking are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of previous Food Service experience required.
• Management experience is a plus but not required.
• Serv Safe certification or equivalent local certification.
• Ability to switch tasks quickly while maintaining professionalism.
• Positive, professional attitude and clear direction to staff.
• Pride in food quality, presentation and kitchen cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Follow Dining Policy and Procedures and ensure department compliance.
• Purchase dining food and nonfood items; achieve 95% DSSI ordering compliance.
• Balance and maintain budgets for raw food and supplies.
• Utilize standard recipes for meal production.
• Ensure food is served at proper temperatures and portions.
• Accommodate residents' prescribed diets when applicable.
• Drive resident satisfaction through hospitality and service standards.
• Develop and implement dining operations and sanitation procedures.
• Conduct pre-meal dining stand-up with staff to review daily menu.
• Adhere to health regulations as dietary representative; address deficiencies.
• Ensure dining areas are clean and perform monthly sanitation audits.
• Interview, train, hire, discipline, and terminate dining staff as needed.
• Oversee scheduling to maintain labor budget compliance.
