Job summary

Insight Living is seeking a Lead Server to oversee dining service in a senior living setting. You will manage server activities, answer resident questions, and ensure a dignified dining experience with attention to dietary restrictions and menu knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in similar facility or food service.
• 1-2 years of prior server experience.

Responsibilities

• Take meal orders accurately while considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Serve meals promptly and courteously, provide refills as requested.
• Provide guidance to serving staff, including assigning tasks and ensuring duties are conducted effectively and efficiently.
• Train new servers on dining service protocols, including proper etiquette, menu knowledge, and resident interaction.
• Address any resident concerns or special requests promptly and courteously, ensuring their needs are met with care and attention.
• Communicate effectively with all other culinary staff to coordinate meal service efficiently.
• Monitor the quality of service provided by serving staff and provide feedback for improvement as needed.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing needs.
• Provide friendly and attentive service to enhance the dining experience.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and portion sizes to answer resident questions accurately.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with management to implement and uphold dining service standards and protocols, ensuring a consistently high level of service delivery.
• Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment among serving staff, fostering teamwork and camaraderie.
