Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford, VA is seeking a Dining Services Associate to assist the Dining Services Director in delivering a signature dining program for residents. The role offers a pay range of $14.50-$17.00 per hour with shifts 11am-7pm or 6am-2pm, including every other weekend.

The position requires preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining safety and sanitation, and providing friendly, respectful service to residents.

Qualifications

• Certification in the Food Handlers Course or equivalent.
• Prior experience in the food service industry.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tasks; must be available to work varied shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents safely and hygienically.
• Follow HACCP and WHMIS guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and proper hand washing.
• Serve meals in a pleasant, respectful manner, mindful of residents’ needs.
• Operate and sanitize kitchen equipment per cleaning schedules.
• Set dining rooms, pour beverages, clear and clean dishes daily.
• Receive stock and store properly according to procedures.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Dining Services Director.
