Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Hampton, VA is hiring a Dining Services Associate to assist the Dining Services Director in planning and delivering nutritious meals for residents. This full-time role requires weekend shifts and is part of an open interviews event held every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at our Hampton community.

You'll participate in safe food handling, HACCP/WHMIS awareness, and daily meal service while upholding our core values and creating a positive dining experience for

Qualifications

• Certification in the Food Handlers Course or equivalent.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
• Must be available to work varied shifts and weekends.
• Ability to lift heavy objects; stand and walk short distances throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a safe sanitary manner.
• Be familiar with HACCP and WHMIS knowledge.
• Ensure a clean, safe working environment and maintain sanitation.
• Serve meals in a pleasant, respectful manner, mindful of residents' needs.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of dining areas and equipment.
• Follow procedures for stock handling and kitchen operations.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Dining Services Director.
