Job summary

Brightview Senior Living in Massachusetts seeks a Dining Services Director to lead the community's dietary team and ensure residents receive exceptional service and nutritious meals. You will coach dining associates, engage with residents during meals, manage the dining budget, build vendor relationships, and collaborate with other departments to support marketing and community initiatives.

This critical leadership role aims to create a vibrant dining experience for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in culinary, hospitality, or food management.
• 2–4 years of food service management in hospitality.
• Ability to lead a large diverse team from dishwashers to chefs.
• Current Safe Serve or other relevant certification.
• Experience in food preparation.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and budget.
• Strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Build, develop and manage all of the community’s dietary associates.
• Establish a communication plan with team, residents, families and guests to ensure excellent care and nutrition.
• Be a visible presence during meal service and engage with residents to exceed dining expectations.
• Solicit feedback on menu preferences, dining experiences and satisfaction.
• Assist in development and maintenance of the dining services budget, develop vendor relationships.
• Ensure kitchen and dining areas are clean, safe and properly maintained.
• Collaborate with other departments to support marketing and public relations, and participate in special projects.
• Play a key leadership role to positively impact residents’ active, vibrant life.
