Job summary

Brightview Senior Living is seeking a Dining Services Director to lead the community's dining operation and coach the dining associates, while advocating for residents with exceptional service, delicious food, and engaging dining options.

You will manage a budget, develop vendor relationships, and ensure a clean, safe kitchen and dining environment. Collaboration with other departments and participation in special projects support Brightview's goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; education focused in culinary, hospitality, or food management.
• 2–4 years of Food Service Management experience in the hospitality field (Country Club, Banquets).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a large diverse group of associates ranging from dishwashers to chefs.
• Current Safe Serve or other relevant certification.
• Demonstrated experience in food preparation.
• Ability to plan and manage a budget.

Responsibilities

• Build, develop and manage all of the community’s dietary associates and establish a communication plan with residents, families and guests.
• Act as a visible presence during meal service to ensure dining experiences meet expectations and solicit feedback on menus and satisfaction.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the dining services budget and vendor relationships.
• Ensure kitchen environment and dining areas are clean, safe and properly maintained.
• Collaborate with other departments to support marketing and public relations, and participate in special Brightview projects.
• Contribute to creating a dramatic and positive impact on residents’ active, vibrant lives.
