Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Culinary Assistant to support the kitchen, dining room, and related areas under the Culinary Coordinator. You will help prepare dining spaces, serve residents, transport meals, and uphold cleanliness and food safety standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and adherence to policies, with opportunities to participate in safety committees and special events within a supportive elder-care environment.

Qualifications

• High school student (14+) working toward diploma; comply with state regulations

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the dining room for meals and serve residents
• Transport food to other dining areas
• Set and clear tables; wash dishes; maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining spaces
• Maintain sanitation and hygiene using PPE; follow hair covering and hand protection rules
• Report unsafe conditions and respond to alarms or emergencies
• Participate in staff meetings and safety committees; assist with events
