Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Culinary Assistant to support the dining room, kitchen, and dish room, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for residents while maintaining cleanliness and safety.

You will prepare the dining area, serve residents, transport food, maintain sanitation, and follow all policies and state regulations for assisted living. The role requires good communication, teamwork, and a calm, adaptable demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the dining room for meals; serve residents and transport food to other dining areas.
• Set and clear tables, wash dishes, and clean kitchen and dining spaces according to schedules.
• Maintain proper sanitation and hygiene practices, including PPE and compliance with regulations.
• Report unsafe conditions and respond to alarms or emergencies.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and safety committees.
• Assist with scheduled activities and events as requested.
• Complete incident reports and uphold confidentiality of residents and coworkers per HIPAA.
• Follow all policies and comply with state regulations applicable to assisted living.
