Jaybird Senior Living seeks a Culinary Assistant to support the kitchen, dining room, and dish room under the Culinary Coordinator. This role helps provide a high-quality dining experience for residents while ensuring cleanliness and food safety.

You will prepare and set up the dining room, serve residents, maintain sanitation, and participate in safety trainings and committees. This weekend position offers a collaborative work environment within a growing senior living company.

Qualifications

• High school student (14+) pursuing diploma; GED acceptable.
• Good communication, organizational, and listening skills.
• Calm, friendly demeanor with patience and flexibility.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic problem-solving skills; willing to accept supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the dining room for meals; serve residents and transport food to other dining areas.
• Set and clear tables, wash dishes, and clean kitchen and dining spaces.
• Maintain sanitation and hygiene, including PPE usage and hair/hand protection rules.
• Report unsafe conditions and respond to alarms or emergencies.
• Participate in staff meetings and safety committees; assist with events as needed.
