Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Culinary Assistant to support dining rooms, kitchen, and related areas under the Culinary Coordinator. This role ensures high-quality dining for residents while upholding food safety and regulatory compliance.

The position emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and patient communication. The successful candidate will be a high school student pursuing a diploma (14+) with a plan to graduate, with preferences for GED holders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the dining room for meals; serve residents and transport food to other dining areas.
• Set and clear tables, wash dishes, and clean kitchen and dining spaces according to schedules.
• Maintain proper sanitation and hygiene practices, including PPE and compliance with regulations.
• Report unsafe conditions and respond to alarms or emergencies.
• Participate in staff meetings and in-services.
• Assist with scheduled activities and events as requested.
• Complete incident reports and uphold confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Follow all Policies & Procedures and comply with state regulations for assisted living.
