Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Delaware seeks a Dining Services Director to oversee all aspects of food service, from hiring and training staff to menu planning and sanitation. You will supervise staff, manage budgets and ensure meals meet dietary needs while adhering to regulatory standards.

The role requires a Food Service Manager Certificate, ServSafe, and a high school diploma with leadership experience in dining services. Flexibility with schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Food Service Manager Certificate and/or meet regulatory requirements for Food Service Manager.
• Strong knowledge of ordering, storing, preparation and serving in a food service environment, preferably in senior care.
• High school graduate with management/leadership experience in dining services.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Excellent customer service and communication with residents, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dining services staff, including hiring, training and evaluating performance.
• Direct and assist in meal preparation and service to residents, associates and guests.
• Plan monthly menus meeting resident dietary needs and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, budgeting for food, supplies and labor hours; supervise allowances and portions.
• Ensure sanitation per federal, state and local regulations; maintain equipment and kitchen areas.
