Job summary

Ecumen Oaks & Pines in Hutchinson, MN is hiring a Part-Time Cook responsible for proper food prep, cooking and service while recognizing dietary needs and requests. The role keeps work areas clean and follows facility policies, delivering high levels of service to residents, families and staff.

Schedule: 6am–2:30pm, 32 hours every two weeks with varied weekdays, every other weekend and holiday. Pay: $20.00–$23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age and ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to follow all safety rules and facility policies (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
• Experience in kitchen or food service is preferred.
• Serv Safe or CFPM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers friendly, responsive service to residents, families, guests and staff.
• Prepares, cooks, and serves meals; ensures proper equipment use and maintenance.
• Follows recipes and portion guidelines accurately; adjusts for group sizes.
• Maintains food inventory and notifies supervisor of shortages.
• Keeps work area clean, safe, and compliant with health regulations.
• Stocks and rotates groceries to ensure freshness.
• Coordinates with team for special events and staffing needs.
• Prepares appropriate meals for special diets and accommodates resident requests.
• Practices proper safety and sanitation.
• Collaborates well with others in a dynamic environment.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
