Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility.
• Knowledge of dietary needs and special diets and ability to accommodate residents.

Responsibilities

• Provides exemplary service to residents, families and guests, ensuring all feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service.
• Preps, prepares, cooks and serves meals to residents, families, guests and employees; operates and maintains equipment; reports shortages/overages to supervisor.
• Follows recipes and production guidelines; adjusts portions and leftovers; ensures proper product usage.
• Maintains inventory of food and supplies; notifies supervisor if items are missing.
• Keeps work area clean, sanitary, safe and organized; complies with regulations.
• Stocking and putting away groceries; labeling, dating and rotating stock.
• Collaborates with department leaders to plan events ensuring adequate product and labor.
• Ensures residents on special diets receive appropriate meals and accommodations.
• Demonstrates proper safety and sanitation techniques; works in a changing environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
