Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare delicious, healthy meals for our residents. You will follow current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and Benchmark policies to ensure quality food service in every shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Culinary Arts training is preferred.
• At least 2 years of dietary experience.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures, laws, and guidelines for food service.
• Ability to lead and supervise staff.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all dietary procedures are followed.
• Operates kitchen equipment safely and effectively (meat slicer, processor, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwasher, warmers).
• Assists in establishing food production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
• Represents the community with a positive attitude when interacting with potential residents and families.
• Prepares and serves nutritious meals with high-quality presentation and flavor.
